Instructions for Supporting Documentation
Exam Score Instructions
In order for a Transfer of Credit Evaluation Request to be reviewed, an official score report must be sent to Guttman. Students are to follow the instructions for sending the scores provided by the testing agency (e.g., The College Board, CLEP, The International Baccalaureate).
For example, instructions for sending AP exam scores are:
- From the https://myap.collegeboard.org/login website, sign in to My AP using the username and password of your College Board account.
- Select My AP Profile.
- Select the Score Send tab.
- Find the college or university you want to receive your scores. Start typing “Stella and Charles Guttman Community College”. When it appears on the list, select it and hit Save. You can also search for Guttman using the College Code: 7886.
* If a student orders their AP score report before June 20, 2021, sending it is FREE.
CUNY Coursework Instructions
As Guttman is a CUNY college, there is no need to provide any additional documentation to support a Transfer of Credit Evaluation Request. The Request form will be evaluated and a response provided within three weeks. For more information on how credits may transfer, please refer to the CUNY Coursework Equivalencies webpage.
Non-CUNY Coursework Instructions
In order for a Transfer of Credit Evaluation Request to be reviewed, an official transcript must be sent to Guttman by the Registrar at the College/University where they took the course(s). The student should follow the instructions provided by that institution and have the transcript sent to:
Office of the Registrar
Guttman Community College

New York, NY 10018
Prior Learning Experience Instructions
In order for a Transfer of Credit Evaluation Request to be reviewed, additional documentation may be required. Upon review of a student’s Request form, the Office of the Registrar will contact them with additional instructions based on the learning experience reported.
