Elie joined Guttman’s HR in June 2013, after working 6 years as a Benefits Coordinator at the City College of New York. Elie serves as the Director of Human Resources, overseeing all aspects of human resources administration. Elie serves as the College’s Workplace Violence Prevention and E-SPARC training liaison as well as the COVID liasion.

Elie received her associate degree in Liberal Arts from Borough of Manhattan Community College, with honors. She earned a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, summa cum laude, and a Master of Arts in the Study of the Americas, both from the City College of New York. Elie was nominated to the TIAA Emerging Leaders Network for Human Resources Professionals, which she completed in December 2018. In January 2019, she received the President’s Award for outstanding service. Outside of work, Elie can be found on long walks throughout New York City, exploring temples and cultural art in different neighborhoods.

Michelle Nunez-Leonardo

Michelle joined Guttman Community College in 2016 and serves as the Associate Director for HR Operations. Michelle oversees the administration of full cycle recruitment activities for all full-time positions, and is responsible for payroll, compensation analysis, HEO Screening Committee meetings, and managing all CUNYfirst HCM processes. She is the subject matter expert for the CUNYfirst HCM Pillar. Michelle is also responsible for the contractual provisions of full‐time instructional staff employee groups (including the appointment and reappointment process, annual evaluations, contractual salary increments, and employee performance management). She develops and conducts several annual HEO Employee Performance Management Workshops for employees, managers and supervisors in preparation for their annual employee performance reviews.

Michelle received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College in Human Resources Management, with a minor in Psychology. Outside of her professional career, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and going to the movies.

Nicole Paige

Nicole Paige joined Guttman’s HR team in September 2015 and serves as Assistant Director for Employee Services. Her primary tasks involve managing the benefits for all employees, including but not limited to health insurance, pension plans, medical leaves, various pre-tax and voluntary programs and CUNY’s Employee Assistance Program. Throughout her employment at Guttman, Nicole took on additional roles, such as payroll processing and organizing employee events, including the Annual Health & Financial Awareness Open House, Getting to Know Guttman Onboarding Orientation and numerous financial and healthy lifestyle workshops.

Nicole earned her associate and bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality Management at New York City College of Technology, Summa Cum Laude, as well as an associate degree in Office Operations and Administration from Borough of Manhattan Community College, Magna Cum Laude. Outside of her employment, Nicole enjoys listening to music and visiting museums and exhibitions with her family.

Lisa joined Guttman Community College in August 2018. Lisa is responsible for the management of time and leave for all employees and the onboarding and processing of all part-time employees.

Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a minor in Chinese, from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Lisa enjoys reading delightful books, cooking delicious food, and watching entertaining YouTube videos during her leisure time.

Cheri Randall

Cheri joined Guttman’s HR team in 2018 and has taken on a variety of roles throughout her tenure. She currently serves as the HR Administrative Coordinator, partnering with and supporting the team in the areas of Classified Staff, college effectiveness initiatives, day-to-day operations and special projects.

Cheri received her bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and completed her graduate studies at Mercy College in Human Resource Management. Outside of her professional career, Cheri enjoys volunteering, traveling the world, visiting art galleries and attending Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.

Angel joined Guttman Community College in August 2022 coming from Bronx Community College as a Business Data and Reporting Analyst. Now as a Recruitment and HR Operations Coordinator he is responsible for the recruitment of full-time faculty and HEO series titles as well as CUNYFirst data management for all titles.

Angel received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Lehman College with a minor in Theatre. Angel enjoys going to concerts, Broadway shows, and road trips.

Jasper Wen joined Guttman’s HR team in October 2022, and he currently serves as a Human Resources College Assistant, whose primary role is reviewing and processing all hourly timesheets for part-time employees in preparation for bi-weekly payroll.

Jasper is currently working on his final semester for his bachelor’s degree in Economics, minor in Computer Science, and certificate in Business Studies from Hunter College. In his spare time, Jasper enjoys volunteering, gaming, and watching movies and shows.

Bao joined Guttman Community College in 2017 as a College Assistant to the Chief Diversity Officer. Joining Guttman’s HR team as Business Data and Reporting Analyst (P/T), Bao is responsible for reviewing and processing all hourly timesheets for part-time employees in preparation for bi-weekly payroll. In addition, he assists in tracking and maintaining time and leave balances for our part-time employees.

Bao received his bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in Mathematics from Baruch College. Outside of his professional career, Bao enjoys traveling, gaming and basketball.
