Admissions Checklist
Undergraduate First-Year Applicant Information
To be considered for admission, you must complete these three steps:
- Select Guttman Community College on the CUNY application.
- Register and attend a group information session and learn about our unique educational model and programs of study.
- Participate in an individual meeting to determine whether Guttman can support you achieve your academic and professional goals.
Due to the structure of our first-year program, we only enroll new students in the fall semester and that complete all three steps of the Guttman admissions process (application, group information session, and individual meeting).
Before you apply to CUNY as an undergraduate, be sure to attain your application fee waiver (email vetwaiver@cuny.edu).
Note: Veterans are exempt from paying the commitment deposit. The college(s) will provide you with deposit information upon acceptance to the college(s).
Transfer/Non-Degree Applicant
At this time, Guttman Community College is unable to consider applicants who:
- are interested in taking courses on a part-time basis or a non-degree status
- are transfer students
CUNY considers a transfer student as someone who has attended any college, university and/or proprietary school since graduating from high school/secondary school. This applies whether or not you are seeking transfer credit and/or changing a program of study.
If you fall into one of the above categories, we encourage you to explore other options in The City University of New York.
