Ambassador Application

To be considered for the Admissions Ambassador position,  please submit the following:

  • Applicant Information
  • Two Professional References (name & contact information only – reference letters not needed)
    • References should be current or former faculty, staff, supervisors, or advisors who can speak to your leadership abilities and qualifications for the position.
    • If you are a current Guttman Community College student, it is highly recommended that one reference is a Guttman staff, faculty, or supervisor.
  • Three Short Answer Responses (limit each response to 300 words or less)

Please use the following format to name your file: Last.First.Resume (ex: Rodriguez.Jesse.Resume).

Recruitment events & Information Sessions are highly encouraged for anyone who is considering applying for a position and will be facilitated by current Admissions Ambassadors.

Nomination Period: March 6th-24th

Faculty and staff at Guttman and other CUNY can nominate students to apply for a Peer Leader position. Nominees will receive a personalized email encouraging them to submit a Peer Leader application! Receiving a nomination does NOT exempt students from submitting all required application materials. Please note that students do NOT need to be nominated in order to apply. Application & Resume Submission Deadline: Friday, April 14th, 2023 by 5:00pm

Group Interview: Saturday, May 6th, 2023

Invited applicants are required to participate in a Saturday group interview process from 10am-1pm at Guttman Community College.

Individual Interviews: Friday, May 12th, 2023

Invited applicants are required to participate in an individual interview. Interviews are scheduled to last between 20 and 30 minutes. You will receive further details via email in your individual interview invitation.

Decision Letters Sent: Friday, May 26th, 2023

Decision letters will be emailed whether or not you are offered a position.
