When the campus begins to reopen gradually, planning considerations for teaching modalities across phases of reopening reflect the CUNY Guidelines for Safe Campus Reopening, the physical limitations of the campus (i.e., capacity for social distancing in a vertical campus; accessibility issues), the campus resources, pedagogical concerns, faculty and student needs and preferences, and the health, safety and wellbeing of our community members. Guided by these considerations, instruction will be offered in distance learning and in-person class formats at differing rates across the phases of reopening (see Table 3). In each phase, the Registrar, the Office of Student Engagement, the Communications team, and AccessABILITY office will continue to inform students of the relevant class modalities to ensure students can make informed decisions while maintaining their academic momentum.
At this time, we do not envision any regular in-person classroom instruction at Guttman until Phase 4 is concluded.

Phase 0 through Phase 4: All online, asynchronous instruction.
